Bangkok The City of Angels (Krung Thep), Thailand

If there were ever an epitome of diverse peaceful co-existence, Bangkok would be its insignia. This vibrant and diverse city masterfully balances the vibrant and seductive life of modern city with the deep-rooted traditions and rich history of its cultural heritage. Skyscrapers, luxury malls, and an electrifying nightlife blend harmoniously with its stunning temples, palaces, and cultural landmarks, all along the Chao Phraya River that runs through the heart of the city. Known affectionately as Krung Thep, the City of Angels, Bangkok is a true testament to serene coexistence. Reclining Buddha in Wat Pho As the sun rises over the vibrant city of Bangkok, your day begins with a visit to the iconic Wat Pho, home to the majestic Reclining Buddha. Wander through the tranquil grounds, marveling at the intricate details of over a thousand Buddha images. Experience the serenity of morning prayer, held at 9 am and 5 pm before the temple closes. I found it very peaceful, the rhythmic sounds calm

Soyal, Himachal

One place where you would be graced with Serenity and Peace, it is Soyal !

Manali is surrounded by many beautiful places popular among tourists like Solang, Bir, Rohtang pass and flodded with cafes having great vibes. It is a place where you can be with the nature and also enjoy the chillout life of the metro cities. But if you are the one looking out for pure peace, serenity and bliss; then you need to head out to small hamlets and trails, offbeat to the touristy world of Himachal.

Nestled among the pine and deodar trees, with pristine water streams gushing through them and covered with greenry as far as you can see is the small cosy hamlet of Soyal (Soil in Google Maps). It is located just 10 kms from Manali city towards Kulu (Nagar road) and yet offbeat. To reach Soyal you can drive till Mansari village and then walk for about 2 kms. There is a school near the parking spot with good view of the village and thats from where you have to walk towards Soyal.

There is literally nothing to do here and that's exactly the reason one should come here - do nothing and just Be ! Be one with the nature, listen to the sweet whistling of birds, contemplate the water streams gushing through the forest, let your eyes be soothed with the green serenity around you and be graced with tranquility of the place. Its sounds philosophical and exaggerated, but once you visit Soyal you will experience the peace and the calmness this plces endows you.

This place once used to be the trance party hub of the hippy world but has transformed into an offbeat laid back hamlet. There is small stone wood cafe near the stream beside the wooden bridge. You can get food here and also camp near by. Try out the Himachali local snack Siddu(its like momos) and Rajma chawal here. Camping nearby the water stream in the middle of the lush green forest is an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend it in Soyal. The mornings are chilly here and sipping a hot cup of masala chai on the boulders nearby the stream will make your day.

There is also a trail for small hikes from Soyal. Once you reach the cafe, cross the wooden bridge and follow the water stream. There is a small waterfall few meters ahead and a cosy sitout to enjoy it. Follow along the trail as long as you like. The trail for most of the part is shaded by pine trees and you would enjoy the nature walk.

PS : There is an Airbnb also available in Soyal if you dont't prefer camping. I haven't stayed there. Do let me know in comments if you have.
